The Transit Authority is Ianistan’s public transit provider, covering the nation from Fairmont City to Slate Run. The organization provides rail, bus, and light rail services.
TheTA was formed in 1919 as the Eastern Pennsylvania Transit Association (EPTA), Ianistan’s first public transit agency, a division of the Pennsylvania Railroad. In 1981, as part of the demise of the Pennsylvania Railroad, EPTA was turned over to the Ianistan national government. Under this direction, the organization was renamed The Transit Authority, TheTA for short. The name TheTA comes from the greek letter theta, which is shaped similarly to our rail map.
